Deutsches Romantik-Museum
The Romanticism Museum is one of the latest additions to Frankfurt's museum landscape and is centrally located in the city center between the Goethe House and the Goethe Courts. It is the world's first museum dedicated to the Romantic era as a whole. Unique originals are presented in innovative exhibition forms. In dialogue with the neighboring Goethe House, manuscripts, graphics and paintings are shown - Goethe is also put in a new light. The architecture of the house is also special here: behind the street façade and the windows, which could only be placed at this location due to the UV light sensitivity of exhibits, there is a staircase extended in perspective, the stairway to heaven. The blue oriel symbolizes the Blue Flower of Romanticism.
