Eiserner Steg
Photo spot, film set and pilgrimage site for lovers: The Eiserne Steg is Frankfurt's most famous bridge and leads once across the Main. The pedestrian bridge made of steel and concrete was built as early as 1868 and faithfully rebuilt after its destruction in World War II. Today, about 10,000 people pass the Iron Footbridge every day. In addition, it is Frankfurt's showplace for so-called love locks, thousands of which hang there.
