Frankfurt/Heddernheim
It may be one of the smallest districts in the city, but tradition is writ large here. Since 1849, for example, the oldest street carnival in Hesse has been held in Heddernheim. The Roman town is also special. The settlement was built by the famous city planner Ernst May (construction period 1927 to 1929). In the Ernst May House, interested visitors can see the typical architecture and furnishings. To the east is Frankfurt's only camping site.
