Frankfurt/Bornheim
Bornheim - or "Bernem" or "funny village" as the locals like to call it - has been incorporated since 1877. The latter name was once created by the numerous pubs, cider bars and carnival clubs. And even today there are still celebrations, for example during the humid and cheerful "Bernemer Kerb". This festival around Berger Strasse has been one of Frankfurt's oldest and most traditional since 1608. Berger Straße, in turn, is the neighborhood's shopping mile - here you will find numerous owner-operated stores and there is much to discover.
