Schauspiel Frankfurt
Together with the Opera, the Schauspiel Frankfurt forms the Städtische Bühnen. The imposing building complex from the 1960s is located on Willy-Brandt-Platz; the historic building was almost completely destroyed in the Second World War. A special feature is the cloud ceiling sculpture - the so-called Cloud Foyer - by Zoltan Kemeny, which hovers 116 meters from the ceiling and is a listed building. Today, this renowned theater is the largest in Germany. Together with three other venues - Kammerspiele, Box and Bockenheimer Depot - Schauspiel Frankfurt brings theater, dance and performance to the whole city and far beyond.
