Volksbühne im Großen Hirschgraben

After turbulent years of touring, the Fliegende Volksbühne has had a permanent venue since 2020. The Cantate Hall was completed after several years of construction and is located in the city center next to the Goethe House and the Romantic Museum. Dramas, contemporary plays and cabaret are performed there, the special feature being that they are staged in Frankfurt and southern Hessian dialect. Since 2010, the Volksbühne has also sponsored the annual summer theater festival "Barock am Main," which takes place in the courtyard of the listed Höchst Porcelain Manufactory in the Höchst district.
