Die Schmiere
A classic in Frankfurt's theater landscape: Since 1950, the Schmiere has stood for homemade cabaret and satire. The theater is located in the inner city in the vaulted cellar of the Carmelite monastery. In this historic ambience, there is room for around 90 guests. Regularly changing in-house productions and guest performances are shown; in addition to satire, the program also includes comedy events and readings.
