Bad Soden is a town with about 23,000 inhabitants in the Main-Taunus district. The city is located on the southern slopes of the Taunus Mountains and is wonderfully accessible from Frankfurt by public transport. Already in the 19th century, musicians and literary figures such as Richard Wagner, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Peter Tchaikovsky, Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben as well as the Tolstoy brothers were attracted to the spa town, making it a famous meeting place for artists. A highlight there is the Old Spa Park in English garden style, which was laid out as early as 1923.
