CineStar Metropolis
With twelve auditoriums and a total of more than 3,000 seats, the CineStar Metropolis is by far the largest cinema in the city. The imposing building, which housed a theater until 1995, is impressive even from the outside. The individual auditoriums, some of which are accessed by escalators, feature the latest technology, from 3D to 360-degree sound. Regular events such as premieres and event series complement the extensive film program; these include the "Met Opera" series, in which opera productions from New York are broadcast live to Frankfurt.
