Doro - "Conqueress - Forever Strong And Proud" Tour 2024

When heavy metal was born with a gigantic big bang in the early 1980s, one blonde, female star shone particularly brightly. The name: Doro Pesch! Doro's big breakthrough came in August 1986 when she played with Warlock at the Monsters Of Rock Festival in Castle Donington, the legendary open air festival where legends such as the Scorpions, Bon Jovi, Motörhead, Def Leppard and Ozzy Osbourne also performed at the time. Doro was the first woman ever to take to the Monsters of Rock stage! And in this great moment she sealed her cult status and has been a respected, undisputed icon ever since - the metal queen! "We played at Monsters Of Rock and things really took off immediately afterwards," says Doro. "People started to give us a chance. So we were allowed to go on tour with my heroes Judas Priest. I quit my job for that, and after that everything just went like a dream. I moved to New York in 1986, where we recorded the album "Triumph And Agony", which was a huge success worldwide. I still love that album very much. Playing all those songs feels great, they're on our setlist forever." Success has not left them since. In 2023, she celebrated her 40th anniversary on stage with two special anniversary shows and her latest studio album to date, "Conqueress - Forever Strong And Proud", which was released in October 2023 via Nuclear Blast and with which she is visiting us for the first time this year. "At first I just wanted to call the album "Forever Strong And Proud". But then I thought that maybe it needed something more because we've conquered the metal world in 40 years," laughs Doro. "'Conqueress' sounds more powerful. It's the female form of conqueror, and I thought that was cool." And so do we! Welcome, Doro!
