8th Crime Story Day - Reading at Frankfurt Police Headquarters
December 8 is the anniversary of the death of Friedrich Glauser (1896-1938), the patron saint of the most prestigious German-language crime fiction awards, which are presented each year by the "Syndikat", the association for German-language crime fiction. In his honor, the "Syndikat" organizes the annual Crime Fiction Day, where readings, discussions and events of all kinds are held by and with German-language crime fiction authors. From Augsburg to Zurich, from Böblingen to Berlin, readings are held for a good cause everywhere at the same time. Seven authors from the Frankfurt group of Syndikat e.V. (Oliver Baier, Franziska Franz, Leo Heller, Markus Hoffmann, Bernd Köstering, Ulrike Paschek and Andreas Roß) will be reading on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 6 p.m. (admission 5.30 p.m.) at Frankfurt Police Headquarters, Adickesallee 70, 60322 Frankfurt for 8 minutes each - then a shot rings out and it's over! The criminal entertainment costs 15 euros (including the short story collection 7 MainNachtsMorde, which is exclusive to this evening) - all proceeds go to the Weisse Ring e.V. (White Ring Association). Afterwards, visitors can visit the spectacular crime museum at the police headquarters. Registration by name urgently required at krimitag24@gmx.de - confirmation will follow.
